How Peppol Works
Three-Corner Model
Before Peppol, E-Procurement networks were closed or ‘three-corner’, requiring buyers and suppliers to connect through the same provider. This limitation is like being only able to call people on the same mobile phone network as you, with no standardisation across networks.
The old three-corner model requires senders and receivers to connect through the same service provider. This restricts choice because buyers may dictate which service provider can be used, resulting in suppliers having to use multiple systems to transact with their customers.
Four-Corner Model
With the Peppol four-corner model, buyers and suppliers only need one service provider to trade. This model applies to both local and international transactions.
As a Peppol-accredited Service Provider, SESAMi is able to transmit Peppol-based eDocuments between buyers and suppliers. That means you are free to choose the service provider that suits you best.
